"I am reading through the decision now. Here is a remarkable quote from the decision (page 6)

“Those decisions are entrusted to our Nation’s elected leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them. It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”

(emphasis mine)

How does that make any sense? Isn't the SC's purpose to serve as a check on the other two branches?....to determine the constitutionality of laws put forth by those branches?

Kennedy's dissent says the WHOLE BILL is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

What Roberts and the other four did can not be interpreted as upholding the Constitution (IMO, of course).
