They don’t consider “log cabin Republicans” to be real homosexual activists even though they vote GOP only to turn the tide on one issue. Such is life when a camel sticks its nose under the “big tent”.

You are absolutely right that the media would be wagging their tongues just as they did in 2006 while running coordinated DNC press releases about a “culture of corruption” in the GOP “who knew and did nothing” (while the media and DNC knew more and earlier and decided to sit on it as an October surprise) about racy emails between a gay Republican congressman and an aide (who possibly was a Democrat). The Democrats honored a gay congressman who DID have sex with aides and defied a congressional investigation about it in the 1970s.
Different rules depending on who done it. And the Republican under investigation hadn’t even had sex with the teen.
