Probably not. But like that great children’s storyteller before him, Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as “Dr. Seuss”, Maurice was a notorious lefty, and unable to think outside that box he had voluntarily set around himself. This is a disease of living in a highly cloistered neighborhood, where nobody even KNEW anybody who may have been Republican, let alone a principled one.
But be assured that the “red diaper baby” syndrome leaves a lifelong impression.
