Theories of modes of creation quite aside (e.g. the scientist Hugh Ross has some interesting theories about slow, old earth creation at
www.reasons.org) I got to wonder how some folks who want the Christian church to swarm forth and apply Hebrew modes of punishment to modern homosexual offenders -- rather than an admonition about hell and an open door to receive a new heart and life in Jesus Christ -- have no qualms about eating pork or oysters or about fabric blends in their clothing. And do not bother to fast upon Yom Kippur, etc.
