The alleged pedophile homosexual distinction is a red herring. By definition a person engaging in erotic activities with a member of the same sex is a homosexual irrespective of the age of the victim. A person engaging in erotic relations with a female is heterosexual irrespective of the age of the female partner.

The pedophile concept is largely a legal construct rightly designed to protect children. It can be shown that in Medieval England the age of consent was twelve. The law evolved over the centuries. I think the age of consent should be 21.

Where would you find a basis for any age of consent, and why the government be involved. That should make for some interesting research. Why 21? Why not 30?
