The jury in the Jerry Sandusky child molestation case has reached a verdict. The media has received a twenty-minute verdict notification, which means that the result will be announced in twenty minutes.
Jerry Sandusky is a former Assistant Coach for Penn State The high-profile began last year when almost a dozen people came out, revealing that Sandusky has molested them, which then resulted in the firing of Penn State Head Coach Joe Paterno.
Sandusky faces 48 counts against him and up to 400 years in prison. Most legal analysts have predicted that he will be found guilty on most, if not all, charges.
Several minutes before the verdict was reached, the jury asked for clarification on testimony that a janitor gave. The janitor stated that he heard that a fellow employee had witnessed Sandusky had raped a child. This, however, is hearsay because he did not witness it himself. The jury was certain how to apply this to their deliberation.
I imagine, since he is who he is, pedo or no pedo, he will receive a sentence to one of those “executive” prisons. If he actually does hard time in a regular pound me in the a** prison, I’ll be surprised.
But the verdict shows there is some semblance of sanity in this worlld yet.
Now they need to go after the flaming a-holes who let this go on and swept it under the rug for so long.
Just watched him going away in handcuffs....good to see him not smiling anymore. What an evil creep!
Just showed Sandusky walking out, IN CUFFS, to police car.
Wondering about appeals by Sandusky? Trying to listen to local news for PA lawyer to explain if any appeals possible?
No rope?????
Being the child molester that he is, he'll probably convert to Islam behind bars and pray five times a day to his pedophile role model Mohammed.
When are they going to try his enablers?
You are not being histrionic. I have tears in my eyes too. Remember that this evil SOB Sandusky told many of these kids, If you tell, no one will ever believe you. These victims finally have the satisfaction that after all they endured, finally someone believed them and after all the adults in their lives that let them down, finally a jury of 12 good and decent people found justice for them. That will never get them their stolen childhood and innocence back but at least they are no longer alone and I hope this is the beginning of their long journey of healing.
I watched every minute of the coverage of that obscenity. I came to the conclusion that O.J.’s son used his butchering knives to do that monstrous deed, in a fit of rage, and Simpson went to the scene of the crime and then tried to get out of town and get his son ‘out of the way’. I know, I know, a civil court found him liable for wrongful deaths, but the knives used, the socks on the bed, the out of place bloody glove, the very small trace of blood in Simpson’s vehicle after he supposedly butchered two human beings at a very bloody crime scene, the presence of EDTA int he blood sampling of the socks (a preservative placed in vials of blood to keep it from coagulation after being drawn to take for testing), the delayed deliver of the vials of Simpson’s blood samples ... no, Ihtink Simpson was guilty of covering up for his son, but I don’t think he committed the murders. With Sandusky, I have no doubt he is an evil sexual degenerate who has abused children and would go on doing so if not locked awy for the rest of his evil life. And I haven’t even mentioned what I think of the enablers at Pedo University who made this monster’s run of evil last so long and harm so many kids.
Book his wife too, Dano!
Sandusky ruined the lives of many young boys, their families, fellow students and faculty as well as casting a dark shadow over Penn State for the forseeable future. Hope he rots in that cage. Too bad it couldn’t have happened sooner.
His smile was very disturbing ...
He will be segregated from the general population but he will do hard time in a state pen. I don't think he will live long.
Switched to Fox. One of their legal experts questioned why Sandusky was handcuffed in front...NOT cuffed behind back.
Waiting to hear from PA Attorney General.
Joe Amendola (lead defense atty) speaking now. He is scummy...leading up to appeal? Whining about lack of continuances? Basis for appeal? “decent appeal issues” per Amendola.
And so it goes on?
Saw Joe Amendola on TV last night. He was really unsavory. Not a good choice for an attorney.
Good choice for Sandusky tho.
The “executive” or “country club” prisons are federal; his is a state crime/prison. He may (and probably will) be kept apart from the general population, but it will be a state prison nonetheless.
The tragedy is he spent 68 years free to do what he did.
