I spoke to a Syrian friend of mine last evening who is in regular touch with her relatives in that country. She said that our government has no idea what is going on, and that as usual they’re picking the wrong side. While there are no ‘good guys’ in this fight, siding with the “rebels” (read, Islamists) will result in complete disaster for the Christians in Syria.

So, it looks like McCain is wrong again.

I asked her what she thought was going to happen, and she predicts that Assad will be gone in a few months and be replaced by a government of Muslim extremists. Like most Arab Christians, she has no delusions about the “Arab Spring.”

When the uprising began in Egypt the Muslim Brotherhood claimed they had no interest in government power. Today less than 2 years later, they’re gathered in the square by the hundreds of thousands demanding that their MB government be seated.

I’ve started watching the BBC in the mornings because I can get better global news.

All one needs to do to know what the plans for a global caliphate are is read the Hamas Covenant. Its widely accepted as the model constitution of a Muslim Brotherhood led Caliphate.
