Senator John McCain urged military air strikes on Syria Thursday, saying the U.S. cant afford to be standing by, watching a massacre.
While opposing the use of U.S. ground troops, the Arizona senator said the U.S. should give weapons to the Syrian rebels and establish sanctuaries in the war-torn country that would be protected by allied air power.
For the United States to stand by and for the president of the United States not to say a word on behalf of these people is shameful, McCain said at a Bloomberg Government conference in Washington on defense strategy.
With Iran aiding the Syrian government and Russia providing weapons to the regime, its not a fair fight, McCain, the senior Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said. Here we are, standing by, watching a massacre go on.

Sounds good. One B-2, One Bomb, done.
Thanks Arizona, you keep me laughing !
What possible US interest is served getting involved in this just to replace one set of thugs with another, jihadist, set of thugs? Let them wipe each other out for as long as they want to go at it.
McCain seems to be wanting Obama to enter November as a wartime President. Perhaps he figures he would look better if NOBODY could beat Obama and it wasn’t just him who lost to Obama.
In hindsight, we now learn that McCain would have been a complete nutjob as POTUS...
Is there any war McCain wouldn’t rage into? Did he support Assad 6 months ago? Didn’t he have a sleepover with Qaddafi not that long before he wanted the U.S. to invade Libya? Didn’t he vote that we give Libya millions of dollars a month or two before the invasion?
Iraq was enough of a miscalculation
And Afghanistan gets more Kipling as we go
Let these muzzzies kill each other
Frack our own oil
If we must be noble then obliterate the LRA

Agreed.
Yes...Juan needs to go away quietly. Maybe him and that astronut from Ohio can start a former heroes club. Then they can have fun and make John Skerry reinact his medal throwing skills as initiation for admission.
Let’s see, we’ve had how many actual wins in that neighborhood so far? At what cost?
We’ve see both the Soviets and the British Empire get their butts handed to them by these tribal societies?
And the people who end up running this latest US Military waste of time, money and intervention are going to love us and become our buddies why?
All this brilliance and more from a man who couldn’t even beat Obama? I’m beginning to wonder about WND for even giving this guy ink to begin with.
I Think John McCain needs to be sure his daughter is in the first plane.I’m no liberal and as pro-military as you get but we have NO strategic reason to be involved in another middle east mess. Our troops are spread to thin as it is.
Unless Americans want to see their military supporting the coming caliphate under the disguise of "humanitarian assistance," they had best not let this agitation to intervene fly under the radar.

France and the others can get involved here.

In case you have not noticed, we have lost over a thousand men since Zippy took office, with thousands wounded——for nothing.
Your country is in the throes of a Marxist takeover and you’re worried about a bunch of Muzzies killing each other—you know, like they have been doing for 14 centuries.
Old saying: “When your enemies are killing each other, get out of the way”.
You are 100% correct. We have no business in Syria’s civil war. Let them kill each other.
