I take 4 drugs Synthroid name brand, as generic is garbage a good ENDO will NOT prescribe the generic. Valium for the FMS, Diazide to control soft tissue swelling and pain in hands, and Claritin, we live in the south, pollen deluxe.
It is to the drug companies benefit...take Crestor, it was supposed to be the DRUG OF LAST RESORT, yet through a slick multi-million $$ ad campaign became #1, with Lipitor as #2, both LAST resort drugs. Older drugs work just as well and have fewer side effects.
That is unless you are some one like me, the 2-5% who can’t take much of any thing. I’ve sent more drugs back to the pharmacist because of the side effects. I don’t have to take them to know what they will do, just reading them tells me that. And it seems strange they are always High Co-pay drugs.
