I think our focus on the one or two Americans is understandable, but the hundreds of Mexicans killed also demand justice.
They died so a leftwing government in another country could further restrict the civil rights of their citizens. And those citizens are considering reelecting that government, rather than imprisoning them!
You know, that touches on one aspect of this enterprise that I've seen only mentioned in passing, if at all: What are the ramifications of this conspiracy in terms of international law? Normally, arming opponents of a lawfully-elected government of a foreign sovereign nation is considered an act of war.
