Thanx, I tried to put the link in when I posted, but it kept kicking back.
I think I read they are reopening the Tower of London and using it as a hospice. / s
But there are priorities in society that must be met, like having the resources available to provide condoms for law students. It’s the needs of the many over the needs of the few. The elderly are no longer paying taxes, and are therefore drains on the system. Money must be available to pay for programs on diversity and to support illegal immigration. We must have our priorities straight.
Coming to a hospital near you.
Sounds a lot better than Death by Starvation doesn't it.
Once we crossed the medicine curve and got people up from age 65 range of living....for another ten to fifteen years...we were just creating more elderly patients to dump somewhere, and become someone’s problem. That’s the sad part of this story.
It’s called MengeleCare, though here in America it also goes by the name ObamaCare.
The authors of Newspeak would be proud. Liverpool Care Pathway!
US malcontents who lament that European socialist health care is supposedly twice as cheap ought to remember what is had for the money. You get some paper flowers and a good bye note.
I guess this is what Berwick had in mind when he said, “Britain, you chose well.”
My great grandmother who lived to be 103 lived the last 10 years of her life in a wheel chair because she refused to go to the hospital to get a hip replacement (a fairly simple procedure) because she KNEW she would never leave alive if she went.
No Liverpool care protocol for politicians. It’s because they don’t like being murdered by being starved.
Post of the day!
Josef Mengele = The Angel Of Death of Auschwitz.
MengeleCare
I didn’t make that one up. I read it here in FR back in 2009. I don’t know if the term was coined be a FReeper or not. If so, I wish he or she would step forward and claim credit. I’d like to say “Bravo!” It is a great term and describes the “Affordable Health Care Act” perfectly.
I have had several people in my family who lived beyond or near a 100... and every one of them said the secret was to stay away from the hospital.I agree with this, for several different reasons.
First there's the whole question of secondary infections, which is literally a killer.
And of course there's just poor care in general, and doctors cutting corners, and a system that is absolutely biased against older people.
But more importantly, if you decide early in life (and that can mean in your 60s or 70s if you're still reasonably healthy) that you don't WANT to go to a hospital, then you take the extra steps (literally) to keep yourself out: you eat better and you take frequent long walks.
It's not 100%, but taken together its a miracle cure (and prevention) for many ailments.
Not surprising.
It’s already been documented that the greatest drug threat in the country is deaths from prescription drug abuse, eg. anti-depressants and pain killers.
Some 120,000 people per year.
If Vitamin E killed that many people, the FDA swat teams and RMCS (Raw Milk Control Squads) would be using flash-bang grenades all over the country at supermarkets near you today!
When your number is up!
