My wife is a JCP shopper. They brought in a guy from Apple that did not understand clothing retail sales. Proceeded to drive people from the stores by elimating sales. The Ellen ads were not so much offensive as not understandable and totally missing the target audience. At the same time, wife was getting email and text sales ads from Macys, located in the same mall. She started shopping at Macy’s. So did many others. 31% drop in sales 1st quarter, off another 18% for 2nd quarter. So the Apple guy was summarily ushered out.
