White people ought to be ashamed for permitting and fostering racial double standards that have effects that are in some ways worse than the cruel racism of yesteryear.

Is he kidding? Laws and societal pressure make it impossible for white people to do anything but espouse double standards!

This is a case where “white people” are in a no-win situation. If they insist on higher standards for minorities (no more double standards), then they are labelled as hateful and insensitive to black cultural issues.
