In a revolt against Romney, at least 40 more national convention delegates asked to join 123 previous plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Republican National Committee, and their attorney said hundreds more may soon follow suit.
The first 123 delegates, all from the 9th Circuit, sued the RNC, its Chairman Rince Priebus, and every state party chairman in the 9th Circuit in Federal Court on Monday, demanding the right to vote for the candidate of their choice on every ballot at the Republican National Convention, including the first.
The delegates claim the party violated federal law by forcing them to sign loyalty affidavits, under threat of perjury, to vote for Mitt Romney, though he is not yet the official nominee.

Folks, CHARACTER COUNTS. We ignore that wisdom at our peril.
With Obama, it was "Hope and Change." With Romney, it's "Hope he'll Change." We know how the first one worked out.
I did but that web site is now off line/blocked/?
Liberty depends on each of us keeping our word, following the rule of law, and honoring contracts. Failing that, the rule of law must enforce contracts.
These people actually believe that they know better than the voters in their State’s Republican Primary. Since they are more equal and so much wiser, they want to be their own elite, to trump what they believe is another elite. The honest and honorable thing is to follow the votes in the Primaries. It’s ridiculous to believe that they would sign pledges or contracts and yet be honorable or trustworthy enough to over ride the election results in their States.
The Constitution is clear about the national election of the President and the Vice President. The Party delegates are another matter, as are the Parties themselves. At the least, the contract of State Party rules should be followed, at the most, this is definitely a case of State’s rights that is not covered by the Constitution.
re: “There are so many around here criticize real conservatives for not voting for their candidate and tell us to disobey God and vote for their guy. There guy is worse than obama, in that obama admits who he is.”
You really believe in your heart of hearts that Romney is worse than Obama?
If you really believe that Obama is less evil than Romney, then, wouldn’t God want you to vote for Obama because voting for him would promote more good and less evil? After all, isn’t God for less evil?
Would God want you to sit out and allow a more evil candidate win? Does God really want you to sit back, not vote, and take shots at all the others who do vote, take shots at both candidates, and, encourage others to do the same thing - and, all the while preaching that to do so is morally superior to those who actually do work against less evil and vote for more good?
And, is Obama REALLY open about who he is to the general public?? The guy who hasn’t released his true birth certificate, who won’t release his college transcripts, his medical transcripts, who threw his grandmother and his pastor of 20 years Jeremiah Wright under the bus because he was attempting to distance his association from them, who said he believed in traditional marriage, who said he was going to end the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and on and on??
Look, Romney is not my guy - I DID NOT WANT HIM TO BE THE GOP CANDIDATE!! But, I live in Realityville and it’s either him or Obama. Even if all you say about Romney is true, he’s still better than Obama. I know you disagree with that, but it is the truth.
Where did Romney advocate abortion through all 4 trimesters of pregnancy? Where did Romney ever support partial birth abortion? Where did Romney ever support killing babies who surived abortion? Obama has supported all those things.
Obama is an out and out marxist, communist economically. Romney is neither of those things. I wish Sarah Palin had run. I wish Santorum or Newt had won the primaries rather than Romney. I wish Gov. Jindal of Lousiania had run, or this one or that conservative. But, they either didn’t run or didn’t win.
Ron Paul is a pacifist. He is against even defending oneself. He is so anti-war that actually said back in Sept/2011 that he would support the idea of putting Dennis Kucinich on his cabinet if elected president. And, Kucinich said he would like to see a Kucinich/Ron Paul ticket (back in 2008).
I’m not saying Ron Paul is who you would support, but my point is that I hear a few conservatives arguing for Ron Paul because he is so great on the social issues as well as economic. But, a guy who would put a guy like Kucinich on his cabinet is either disingenuous about his pro-life beliefs or he is wacko.
In closing, while Romney leaves much to be desired from a conservative’s point of view - he’s light years better than Obama. Our nation WILL collapse in the next four years if he’s re-elected. With Romney there’s a chance we can take a step back or at least slow down the destruction.
I know you totally disagree with that, but it is what it is.
Too true. They all seem to compromise to the ‘inth’ degree.
They are convinced by those there having the power of appointments to committees, etc., and if they do not play the game, they do not get any recognition, they do want to get re-elected so they bend. Corruption results.
God help America.
The fact that America does not appear in the Bible, book of “Revelations”, seems to suggest either America’s fall as a power or our being taken over by another power;(Islam) for instance.
We have turned aside from Christianity and are essentially persecuted for being Christians now. This has been on the rise for many years. So people do not realize it has not been like this ... before Madeline Ohara.

The Day America Spurned God
“But as for my enemies who did not want me for their king,
bring them here and execute them in my presence.”
Luke 19:27
_____________
In June of 1963, the Supreme Court upheld the argument of the atheist Madelyn Murray O’Hare and promulgated an edict with ramifications so widespread it insured that God would be evicted from public society across the entire spectrum of the American governmental system. From that day to this, not only has prayer been outlawed, God’s very name has been declared anathama to the United States Constitution, and forbidden to be mentioned in any federal, state, county, city or municipal context.
Further decrees have revealed the depths of the ouster that initial edict has fostered. Not just prayer is forbidden in the public forum. Display of the cross is forbidden. The Ten Commandments are forbidden. The Bible is forbidden. Nativity plays are forbidden. Even the mere mention of the names “God” or “Jesus” in schools are forbidden. More than that, anything even suggestive of those names is forbidden.
No question about it, Pharaoh’s heart has changed (Exod.14:4).
The government’s legal decision hit like an earthquake when it was first delivered! Up to that moment, most people considered the United States government tantamount to a church. The morality echoed by both was virtually identical. It was that perceived union which inspired the public’s reverence for its political system in the first place. Just as it is today, almost every person in the country at the time of the Court decision was Christian. Displays of the Ten Commandments, the parables, Gospel quotations and Christian exhortations were everywhere. There were prayers in public schools, in public forums, vitually all government affairs and congress. Public grammar schools conducted nativity plays. The morality of the society was Judeo-Christian. Forgiveness was an essential principle in the land. Factors other than money drove the national mind. Businesses closed their doors on Good Friday. God and Jesus were ubiquitous in almost every aspect of American society.
Suddenly all that was gone. All of it purged from the American scene in one sudden ruling.

Your thinking on contract law, democratic representation, and the duty of a delegate to represent the best interest of his countrymen is completely confused.
ZERO chance of success.
only the MSM will give these kooks air time because they need to attack the republicans.
delegates are proxies and bound to vote the way they have been directed to vote.
You’re not proving your point.
Where do you get your definition of “duty?” What about the duty of an adult not to enter into contracts they don’t believe in or intend to keep?
If an adult does enter into an agreement or signs a contract/affidavit/or pledge and then claims he didn’t mean it, he’s not trustworthy. He’s not someone who knows his own mind, much less the “best interest of others.0
You don’t even know what a contract is.
LOL!
No Bush, Kennedy, Rockefeller, Roosevelt, or Clinton has an ice hcube in hell's chance, in my universe.
The era of dynasties if thankfully over!
Kissinger promised the chinese that Jeb Bush would be the next president.
You tell me if these are not good reasons to not vote for Romney. Then ask yourself why you are defending this man.
By the way; God hates all evil. He tell us to turn from evildoers and do what is right. I will not sell my soul for someone who has sold his.
1. Implemented/created Gay Marriage in MA
2. Supported and forced Gay Adoption in MA. The Catholic Church had to quit doing adoptions because they will not allow gays to adopt innocent children.
3. As governor, to please Massachusetts militant homosexual groups, Romney aggressively BOOSTED government funding for pro-homosexuality indoctrination, starting in kindergarten. He refused to defend schoolchildren and parents rights against this indoctrination. He refused to order his education officials to obey the law guaranteeing that parents can protect their children from sexual brainwashing. They could not opt out.
4. Supported Abortion wholeheartedly and will not sign the pro life pledge.
I was a counselor at a Crisis Pregnancy Center. People hear the word abortion and did not mean much to them. Think about this:
An innocent baby is killed by tearing it apart limb by limb or using chemicals to slowly burn it alive, or putting a scissors in the tender area of his or her head. Imagine the pain these poor innocent babies feel.
5. Refused to go the a single pro life or tradition family event; assumes conservatives will vote (even obama respects people enough to go to their events and asks for their vote) When romney realizes he needs conservatives to win, it will be too late as we will organize a write-in campaign or go third party in mass. Ron Paul is not pro life. He would not vote for the bill that would stop people from aborting babies because of their sex.
6. Unforced by anyone, Romney overruled his own Commissioner of Public Health and lied about state law in order to compel Catholic hospitals to issue abortifacient pills.
7. Romney, along with the gop cheated, lied, stole and bought the primary.
8. Raised taxes/fees over 300% while being Governor of MA
9. Implemented a state-level Cap and Trade system.
10. Supported Man-Made Global Warming.
11. Supported the Brady Bill.
12. Implemented a state level Assault Weapons Ban after the Federal AWB was allowed to expire.
13. Supported TARP
14. Supported Amnesty for Illegal Aliens (Citizenship for those already here)
15. Supported McCain-Kennedy (Amnesty)
16. Romney had a lot to do with Obama winning the last election. We know he was the one who went after Sarah and HER FAMILY four years ago. romney tries to come off as the “nice mormon guy”. We didn't forget the tatics used by “politicians”. For romney 2008 meant if he can't win, everyone loses; we ended up with Obama.

The irrefutable proof that Romneys conservative lawyers are lying to America:
Letter to Governor Mitt Romney from Pro-Family Leaders.
But we need to make sure the delegates know we have their backs.
ngat: “You dont even know what a contract is.”
I may not know lawyer jargon, but I know what honor is. I understand the value of promises and that a person’s word should be trustworthy.
I also know that no one forced any of these people to run for delegate for their State’s GOP. They walked right in, did what they had to do to get elected. Now, they claim they were “forced.” They need to act like grown ups and follow through.
If you knew what honor is, you would not be a Romney enabler.
You figure wrong
There's a better chance of taking down the country by taking out Romney thereby guaranteeing Obama the election. Ain't going to happen!
You a lib mole?
Shame on you for not distinguishing between “Romney enabler” and expecting people to keep their word.
Romney is not justification for these people’s attempts to change the rules by a lawsuit after they ran for and were elected as delegates or alternates.
