Yes, it could very well be.
The economy was the top issue for weeks and Obama looked terrible. Suddenly the topic switches to one which makes Obama look like a hero to large populations in SW states. These states had a chance of going to Romney. And now conservatives are arguing? And now people are not singly talking about the economy?
Hmmm. Sounds like Chicago strategy to me.

If you want to win the war for the Constitution your going to have to pick only the battles you can win and avoid the battles you can’t.
Mitt needs to follow the polls here and not lose the election on the account of millions of illegal yet effective votes going against him.
