That's how they'll see this. Anything that promotes illegal immigration will alienate them mightily.

Most of the independents that I know, anecdotal for sure, don't like Obama, but dislike the evangelical side of the Republican party just as much. Most see them as a hate group.

Most independents won't be for dumping a million kids into the streets of a foreign country to fend for themselves.

So siding with the kids is a smart move. Pointing out Obama bye passing congress is another smart move. So I think it was handled well.

What a dishonest scenario. If you need a false premise to construct an argument, you've got nothing. You know very well that the million kids would be deported with their three million parents and siblings. Nor do we have to deport them. They will self deport if the bennies dry up and they can't get a job.
