owa Republican Rep. Steve King said Friday that he plans to sue the Obama administration to halt implementation of its newly announced selective illegal immigration law enforcement policy. He told Mike Huckabee on the former Arkansas governors radio program Friday that he successfully sued his own states governor and won over a similar separation-of-powers issue.
I will tell you that Im not without experience on this Im prepared to bring a suit and seek a court order to stop implementation of this policy, King said

Republicans are the majority in the House. Though they’re not conservative enough to rise to this, or evidently any challenge to their authority. So at least one, or perhaps a couple of members need to sue.
It’s pathetic.
I just called both offices...thanks for the numbers. Both were very nice and thanked me for suppoting them
I called my rep Kevin McCarthy and told the girl he no longer has my vote, that I will no longer vote down ticket since we are being ruled by the President only. As a matter of fact I want all Congress people fired and I see no reason to pay them their princely salaries and perks any longer.
She said Mr. Carthy does not agree with this policy. I asked so what is he going to do about it? She said I don’t know. So my answer was....he is probably so upset he will write a strongly worded letter....not good enough.
I finished with the Republicans better show some spine on this or they are done.
Good for Steve King!!!
Brady’s office wanted my phone and address. I told them not to call or write asking for money. He said they might want to write me about their position. I said not to waste their or my time. I don’t need anymore form letters from them that are like cold spittle, they just insult my intelligence.
Just do what needs to be done, grow a pair and raise hell!
Hopefully we'll *ALL* get a chance to have him represent us in the future, and not just Iowa!
I have been thinking on this some more. I do appreciate King standing up.
What I can hear now though is “NO STANDING”. Don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.
great picture...the expression on his face remings me of Beldar Conehead getting ready to Narfle the Garthok.
Well, now we have one Republican who has spoken out against Obamas dictatorial behavior. Have we heard from any others?
You think Romney will be any different on this issue?
My guess is that he will pick Rubio as his running mate. Rubio is giddy with glee over this unconstitutional usurpation of power by Obama.
By all means. Be my guest!
GO PETER KING!!! More better join him!
I just called Feinstein’s offices. *Gasp* She’s in support of Obama! So I told her aide that I won’t bother listening to their blather when a Republican president does this. The White House numbers are closed down now. I am so enraged I can’t stand it.
Thanks!
I just could not have said it better myself.
“GO PETER KING!!! More better join him!”

That would be STEVE King (of Iowa) unless you forgot to enter a ‘sarc’ tag.
Hah yeah she wanted mine too. She said he would write me. I said don’t bother having one of his aids send me another form letter. So no.

Here in Virginia there have been several politically devastating plane crashes over the years that not only forced changes in the candidates, but changed politics for decades. John Warner got in after the death of Richard Obenshain. Senator Stevens went down the same way (he, BTW, grew up in Brightwood, an older neighborhood in Indianapolis ~ roughly the toughest Zip Code in Indiana). And who can forget that character in Minnesota where the Democrats did a riotous party in memory ~ good old what's his name ~ Pellstone, or was that Wellhhammer ~ something like that. So hard to remember.
Hale Boggs died in a plane crash. There are actually a good number more politicians who've bit the dirt, so to speak, while campaigning.
You guys who think there's no way your guy could lose it this way think of Richard Obenshain. I had a lot invested in him at the time. He and his father invented the Republican party in Virginia ~ made me think it was OK to move here.
Well, so much for that pol.
We have to have a backup for the current candidate.
It will be easier just to vote him out in November.
Remember the Clinton impeachment and remember the dems still control the Senate.
He could be impeached but not convicted in the Senate.
