One the major points made in the documentary, “Waiting for Superman”, was that the neighborhood doesn't make the school bad. —**** It is the **schools” that make the neighborhood bad!!!! ***-—

And Michael Moore NEVER had an agenda, and you never ever let your own bias influence anything you write, No that would NEVER happen because you are far to intelligent to do that.

Prime example My father attended a vocational high school 1945-1948. This was one of five in the city. Each of them had over a 98% graduation rate. Each of these schools had a demographic that was over 90% Caucasian. As the population shifted in the city to an increase in minorities the 4 year graduation rate began to decrease at almost the same rate as the minority population increased in those areas.

Flash forward to 1995 when I student taught and then taught for a year at that exact same school. 75% of the population was "on the five year plan". Would you like to guess what the minority population was.

Now according your logic. The school caused an increase in the minority population and a decrease in the 4 year graduation rate.

Really, seriously, to whom does that make sense? Answer: no one with an IQ over 65.

Red, yellow, black, or white, all benefit from the gospel.

Schools ( institutional or other forms) that solidly teach from a Judeo-Christian worldview, and instill our nation's founding principles, produce better citizens. Their neighborhoods are better, too.

I believe that the statement in “Waiting for Superman” is correct.

It isn't the neighborhood that produces bad schools. It is godless and socialist-entitlement schools that make the neighborhood bad.

I just did a Google search on the words: “Waiting for Superman Schools create bad neighborhoods”

Guess what? There are 398,000 results!

Looks like the idea is catching on. It seems to me that the education industrial complex and the NEA has a major Public Relations problem to overcome.
