George Strait - Amarillo By Morning most popular song of the Thread:)I think I’m caught up.Happy Father’s Day Everyone.
I get it, too many places. You just wanted one. Okay, how about “Abilene” by George Hamilton IV
My new stepdaughters texted me touching messages for Fathers Day (they’re visiting family up in Panama City this week). Totally unexpected, and sweet.
Our beach plans fell through, so The Bride and I went window shopping, bought a few DVD’s and had a movie fest tonight.
Good morning fatima and (((HUGS))). Yes, I have a part time job with our POA as a park ranger. Some day shifts and some are night shifts. Weekend shifts run until 1230 AM.
Last year, Ben E. King came to the local Indian casino and we went to hear him. He doesn’t exactly sound the same, but it was fun. My husband still had the 45 of Spanish Harlem and I took with me and had him sign it. The look on his face was priceless.
I should have posted, “Spanish Harlem” as a song about a city.

Ok I feel a yogi bear joke coming on.:)
Great song. Made famous at Newport by Arlo Guthrie but written by Chicago's own genius, Steve Goodman, a good friend of John Prine who died too young.
You may also remember Goodman as one of the co-authors of "You Never Even Call Me By My Name."
Interesting, thanks for the info.
