If asking if you support the more or less liberal candidate in any political race is insulting; so be it.
All of this reminds me of Paul Harvey’s sage advice to us (then) young reporters: “If someone claims to be upset with or bothered by your questions, what they’re really upset with is thier own answers to your
questions.”
