Romney qualifies as anyone but Obamah.
Electing a new wave of Conservative Young Guns will soften the sting of voting for Romney.
Yes, but it may well double the sting for those guys when they're in Congress fighting against a "popular" Republican president, elected on a landslide (ABO would be forgotten by 2014) who is on-board with the whole Green Con.
They'd have a heck of a time fighting him, the GOPe, moderate Republicans, and Democrats when he advanced his own brilliant solutions to save the planet. I guess maybe Romney will listen to them on foreign policy? Social issues? Taxes? Abortion? Health care? When has Romney ever evidenced the slightest conservative instinct?
If that bastard is going to get in there, I want it to be as squeaky a squeaker as it can be so that our Conservative Young Guns will have better odds. The same holds true for Obama -- those Young Guns could quietly, firmly dominate a beleaguered and despised Obama, and imagine the political blow it would be to Obama, not to mention how psychologically crippled he'd be, if he ends up re-elected not on a landslide or even a bare majority, but a plurality where two thirds of the people voted against him. EITHER WAY, Romney or Obama, the thing to help the "new wave of Conservative Young Guns is to give the next president, at this point guaranteed to be a statist authoritarian, an anti-mandate and put him on the defensive.
Barring the miracle I'm praying for that vanquishes Romney and raises a limited government conservative Republican in his place before November, I'm voting official third party for that reason.
