We have a difference of opinion.

To me the real point is that the racially motivated media lynch mob was drummed up by using misstatements, untruths, and outright lies. I believe these threads and my personal conversations with those who were deceived is to learn and tell the truth.

The truth is that Martin was a normal 17-year-old former football player, 5'11" tall, fully capable of breaking Zimmerman's nose and slamming his head into pavement, as alleged by Zimmerman and supported by medical records and photographs.

The truth is not that Martin was 6'3", or 230 pounds (often cited on FR), or 7" taller than Zimmerman. Those searching for the truth in this matter don't need to rely on the same tactics - hyperbole and lies - that they are condemning.

I'd hate to think that a cadre of FR members were out trying to convince people that they'd been lied to by the press . . . by claiming that Martin was really 6'3". Once the people they were talking to checked that claim they'd be unlikely to believe anything else they were told, regardless of the fact it may be true.
