From the description, there is no maybe to it! This is first degree murder at its most succinct level.
If no evidence of a connection is found after a real honest investigation, I agree.
If evidence of guilt is found, I would find the old man "not guilty."
There is a limit to what the innocent should tolerate. Living in fear has got to be worse than the most PC "cruel and inhuman" punishment imagineable.
You are correct, but many thought the same thing in the Trayvon Martin case. We have heard nothing from Mr. Spooner yet. I suspect that there is more here, but it may be just as described.
