Treason -- no quarter...
Actually, that’s another reason they do nothing. They know what the penalty for treason is and certainly don’t want to be on the receiving end of the sentence, nor go down in history as being a ‘prosecutor’ for this ‘particular’ administration.
Even if they were on the prosecuting side, the trial would expose every ‘sin’ they ever committed and likely land them in their own treason trial.
