You don't get it. Romney *is* a liberal, a stealth democrat. What's "best" is for him to get out of the race entirely and make room for a real conservative. That would guarantee a November 2012 success. But if he doesn't get out, and somehow actually wins the election, then "yes", the best thing that can happen is that we only have to suffer under him for four years before he hands the reigns on a silver platter back over to those democrats who aren't in stealth mode, so we can *try again* to run a real conservative as a republican four years later. And, HOPEFULLY, during his four years in office, Romney doesn't damage the republican brand so badly that we lose the Congress in 2016 -- which is a genuine and entirely horrific possibility. Romney, in one foul swoop, can undo all the good the Tea Party has brought over the last three years. This is chess, not checkers. If you want to win in the end, sometimes you have to sacrifice the Queen in the middle. I'd happily toss Romney from the board.

Romney actually has a far better chance of winning than the two hopefuls who were left standing, or sort of standing, at the end of the primaries.

Both Santorum and Gingrich would have been far easier to beat than romney.

Romney is not a liberal. I wish people would not insist that he is.

He’s perhaps not a total tea party type but everything he has said and done since I’ve been paying attention to him has been satisfactory to me.

You can call the sky red all you want to, but it’s still blue.

Stop making sense. You might kill the Obama Hysteria fueling the ABO Titanic:
