Excellent and thanks. To call it a “church” is a stretch. I’m so glad we don’t have a State Church.

Write all of the laws you like.

It’s “my” building, and you’re not coming in.
How do you propose to force me to perform the ceremony?

The Catholic Church isn’t perfect, but it is hard to maintain that Lutheranism is the true faith with this silliness (on top of female ministers and other progressive, post-Christian nonsense).

Well I know which scriptures I would be quoting in the sermon.

“What’s the big deal about letting to gays marry?” we are asked. Well, this is exactly what they have in mind. There is no end to what they’ll demand next.

Exactly right. And where did it start? Well, let's listen in to some FReeper posts...

"I have no problem with homosexuals per se."

"I have several friends who are homosexuals, and they're basically good people."

"What homosexuals do in private is not my concern."

"I don't discuss the subject with my homosexual acquaintances unless they bring it up."

What's the old saying?...In for a penny, in for a pound. I'd say the pounding is well underway.

Leftist are on a never ending crusader to abolish our freedom and force us to live by their ideological rules.

It is acts like this which only reinforce the fact that there can be no coexisting with leftist. They will not leave us alone! They will not stop until everyone is forced to abide by their arrogant and self-destructive believes!

They must be destroyed or we must become totally separate.

A marriage between people of the same sex is exactly the same as a marriage between beasts of the field. Marriage requires a man and a woman to be husband and wife. Anything else is nonsense.

Not all Lutherans have gone the way of worldly compromise and heresy. There are several branches (synods) that remain true to the Bible. Many Lutherans no longer recognize the ELCA ( main Lutheran synod) as Lutheran or even Christian any longer. Individuals and entire congregations are leaving in droves. The largest true Lutheran church is the LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.) There are several other smaller conservative synods as well.

Our libtard parish in L.A. has a bi-annual gay mass and every fag from I don’t want to know where, suddenly show up en masse and act like it’s one party instead of being a solemn process. Now if it’s a normal mass for everyone, those same homos do not show up as I see the same old parishioners every time..

So to them, it’s gay FIRST, Christian second.

[formosa] These types of demands on the clergy are done purely out of spite.

Exactly!!!

Very exactly. People who said, even five years ago, that this clear elision of "gay rights" into active persecution of faithful, "non-reconciling", Levitical Christians and Jews by homosexual activists would soon manifest itself, was denounced in the American LSM and gay propaganda as crackpots and "phobes".

Now things will become clear, and the homosexuals' hostility to matrimony and Judaeo-Christian morality will become blatantly obvious even to the inductively slothful and to liberal pollyannas.

Max, which church is that? It seems three or four mainline churches are in danger of being pulled under by the gay/liberal cabal: Anglican/Episcopal (at least in North Amereica and the UK), Lutheran ELCA, United Methodist, and at least some of the Presbyterians, I don't know if there is a clear division becoming apparent yet there.

It looks like the RCC, Southern Baptists, Mormons, and the various evangelical churches (except for Rick Warren's Brokeback Church in Arizona) are pretty much out of reach of the cabal, and the Jewish Orthodox and Hasidim (but perhaps I repeat myself).

I thot Rev Rickbaby's church is called "Saddleback" which is a reference to Saddleback Mtn. in central Phoenix, no?

I don't know of any other "Saddlebacks", but I suppose I could be wrong.

A friend of mine is a Lutheran minister here in NJ; he explained to me years ago that his synod didn’t have female ministers (never mind homosexuals). It seemed very de-centralized the way he explained it.

it must be noted that the Danish “Lutheran” state church is not reflective of the conservative values in the conservative Lutheran churches in the US (the ELCA isn’t one of these....)

“Europe” — sigh... no, not all of Europe — Western Euruope to a large extent yes, but not Central Europe or the East. Also within Western Europe there are places where things are not as dire

Denmark is a welfare state. 70% of the people live off the other 30%. The earners are tax poor and the loafers are fat dumb and unhappy. The government in Denmark is a hybrid socialist state with fascist tendencies to dictate how everyone eats, breaths, farts and spits. It’s no wonder that this has occurred. It will happen elsewhere, especially where the Church has kissed the states secular behind and kowtows to their dictates.

"I have several friends who are homosexuals, and they're basically good people."

(I know it's not you, but the sentiment needs repudiated; people aren't "basically good*, they are in absolute need of a savior.)
The problem isn't homosexuality in itself, it's the acceptance and condoning of sin. Because sin is evil, to such an insidious degree that it warps our very thinking, to accept and condone it is to join with evil.
