It sure is. My neighbors nor I would not like this parking situation each week. If I had parties each week with that number it would be no different. This isn't about religion. You would think that there is a building or a church that could be used for this purpose. Smell the coffee.
But, they are not getting ticketed for parking or being a nuisance, they were ticketed for holding a religious meeting in their home. They are not addressing the problems caused by the meeting but the meeting itself; trying to regulate what these folks do in their own home.
True. There's a reason some areas are zoned "residential". They're intended to be an area where people "reside", not an area to operate a business, church, night club, etc.
An occasional large get-together at a neighbor's home is not a big deal. It becomes a problem when you regularly have so many people over that residents as well as emergency vehicles have trouble getting through the street.
There is a church in my neighborhood that the Archdiocese of Boston closed. It was an Italian neighborhood church that people walked to. It was sold to a Haitian Church of which 90% of its members do not live in our city. You cannot drive down the narrow streets all day on Sunday and well into the night. Fire Engines can’t make the turn on them either. Big pain in the ass.
