Tell us again about your dad voting tooday—it made the radio, didn’t it?
Thanks for asking. My Dad is 76 and although he made me the conservative daughter I am today,,,he also had not voted since the days of JFK.
The Thanksgiving after Hussein was elected, we in the family were asking him why he didn’t vote in that election. We were at the dinner table. He told us kids that the last person he voted for was JFK. (Let’s all remember that the dems of JFK’s time were like the average republican politician of today and that JFK lowered taxes to increase tax revenue, etc.).
What he meant was the last time he voted, his candidate was eliminated, and it soured him on voting. For many years we kids prodded him to vote, begged him. Mom always votes, but not Dad.
Well today I called to make sure Mom voted and she said not only did she vote but my dad did too. I let out a whoop and holler and a “Praise The Lord!”. I told my husband that a miracle occurred in my family today, and he guessed what it was based on the fact that today is election day.
I sent a quick email to Mark Belling (subs for Rush) around 3:50pm during the first hour of his radio show out of Milwaukee describing this miracle, and at 4pm, the start of hour 2 of The Mark Belling Late Afternoon Show, Mark read my email as an example of the passion of the WI conservative vote in this election, and how people are getting out the vote, and new voters have been inspired to register and vote by what has gone on in WI for the last 2 years.
Back at a previous post, I gave the link to Mark’s show. If you look at “hour 2, part 1” my email is read in the first few minutes of that section of the show.
Cheers!
