If it makes you feel any better, Intrade is at 11% for a magnitude 9.0 earthquake to hit this year. So Intrade is saying it's about as likely for us to get a magnitude 9.0 earthquake this year than for Scott Walker to lose this thing.
(We've only had five 9.0+ earthquakes over the past 100 years.)
