That description doesn’t fit most Bavarians, it’s really more Prussian, but that is the general character of the nation. Very procedure oriented, rules are sacrosanct, try breaking one as a tourist and watch even modest, prim little Frauen go all bugeyed furious on you, lol.

Germans:

Top down rules and discipline.

No one questions authority.

Cost efficient to the point of insanity.

Now Belgium is another thing. My father said many of them had never left their villages their entire life. He had no trouble with them. They hired a local to help the company cook and they grew very fond of her skills.

I was in Germany (Bavaria)for two week last year. I found Germans to be the most rule bound people I have ever met. . . until I went to Oktoberfest where they really let loose.
