Faith no matter what someone believes, this higher power can give strength to people.
Yes, but this is exactly the kind of false faith that would fit on a list of God Helps Those Who Help Themselves. Fine if you're a humanist, but it doesn't suit a child of God who is told by much-persecuted Paul, "Be anxious for nothing..." and goes on to prescribe prayer, not material preparation as the answer to peace.
And then there are Jesus' freeing words: "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matt: 10-38
None of this forbids preparedness, but what this movement centers in is man and not GOD (thus the fear, worry, anxiety, self-reliance, unbelief, etc.).
