Palin: Obama Doesn’t Have an Energy Policy

Sorry Madame Gov., but he does have one. Shut down domestic fossil fuel exploration / production and subsidize "green energy" which does not work.

As has been explained in prior posts, he actually does have an energy policy.

It's just a stupid, ignorant, luddite-like policy and is kind of like demanding we junk all our digital advancement and return to using Apple 2-e's subsidized by the gubmint........

Actually he does have an energy policy and that is to DESTROY the keystone pipeline project so that he can implement his green energy BS and force everyone to drive those disgusting looking Volts

Disagree. Obama indeed has an energy policy. That policy is the non creation of any energy source that is Fossil, or carbon based. He’s using the beliefs of those Gaia worshipers that support his “Presidency” to use the power of his office to restrict the development of the energy sources we need, that are proven, exist, are relatively inexpensive if the damned government stays the “H” out of the way.

As a Democrat his goal is that of the party, not the people. His interest for the party is to crash the power of the United States, turn it into just another go along to get along Third World craphole under the governance of the United Nations where the elitist’s control everything, and the rest of humanity are like cattle/slaves under their control.

It is past time for the march on D.C. It’s past time for the people to show their power to those that were elected to represent them, NOT the criminal controlled political party.

It’s also time now to put together the All-American Conservative party that is under the control of the people, not the elitist politicos of self interest. NOT for this coming election, but for the future.

No, that is not the answer. People have property rights that need to be protected. There is a lot of evidence that the problems with the water are not a direct result of the fracking, that the methane was there before the fracking, but then some of the companies came up with studies that claimed that the problems were related to poorly sealed wells in early fracking efforts.

There are fixes that can should be used to help people whose wells have gone bad. The industry could extend public water to the homes and close off the wells, or prove that the fracking was not the cause of the methane leaking into the homes. I’ve lived in areas where there were homes with methane problems and there was no fracking going on at that time.

Interesting video. Sarah Palin makes many good points, but is wrong on two counts.

First, Obama does have an energy policy. That’s the problem. Obama’s energy policy is an “all-of-the-above” policy that includes all of the hopes and dreams of the environmental movement as well as all of the grasping and rent-seeking schemes of his backers. Unfortunately, Obama’s list excludes proven technologies, especially the proven method of letting the price mechanism equilibrate supply and demand for energy resources in free markets.

Second, Gov. Palin is wrong to argue that Alaska’s oil resources aren’t socialized, as Charles Payne said. Palin acknowledges that Alaska’s constitution states that Alaskan oil reserves are held commonly under the stewardship of the state. In her words, “the oil is owned collectively,” which is exactly consistent with the textbook definition of socialist ownership.

Oh, and by the way, without government subsidies, there would be no mining in the west, Powder River Basin. Do you know what the government charges the big mining companies per ton of coal? $1.11, the companies are now selling it for just under $100/ton, with subsidies for the rail transport as well.

Per usual she’s right.

But I hope she’s okay. I don’t think her ironed-out, botoxed forehead does her any favors at all, but I hope that’s all it is and she’s not fighting any illness. This is her second appearance where her voice doesn’t sound right to me.

I like Sarah Palin, I really do. And I hate to criticize her here on FR because I put myself in defacto company with some real sh*t-heads in FR who really do hate Sarah Palin, almost as much as the left hates her.

Having said that, here I go, criticizing her:

1. To say “Obama doesn’t have an energy policy except to kowtow to dangerous foreign regimes” is so far off the mark that it boggles my mind. He clearly does have a left-driven energy policy, a policy of over-all LESS energy, as well as so-called GREEN energy. To not see the shutting down of American energy use and converting remaining use to ridiculously expensive “green” sources (subsidized at a huge premium by the taxpayer) as OBAMA’S ENERGY POLICY is to really, really not understand the situation. Which I find very surprising. I thought Palin DID understand the situation. Maybe she really doesn’t. Or maybe she just can’t articulate her position, I don’t know. But I was shocked by how lame her remarks were on the subject of “Obama’s energy policy”.

2. Imagine for a moment (and it doesn’t take much imagination if you’ve ever seen Newt in action) how Newt would have handled this interview. Every one of those questions from Stossell would have resulted in an absolute blistering response from Newt. Blistering against Obama. Blistering against the environmentalists. Blistering against the left. Blistering against the media (not Stossell, I realize Stossell is a friendly here). In comparison to how Newt WOULD have handled this interview (and again, it doesn’t take much imagination to construct it in your mind), Sarah Palin was very weak on Obama and the environmentalists.

What’s interesting is later in the interview she should the incredible depth of knowledge she has on the entire gas/oil energy industry, both nationally and in Alaska. I think she would make a truly great Secretary of the Interior.

But pit bull she is not. Newt is the pit bull. Sarah, disappointingly, is not.

Well stated and I agree with you in this case. However, Palin’s words are covered far and wide simply because the media is obsessed with her. When she is on point she still has the ability to be a mama grizzly at the very least.

People need to be educated in what happens when they don't have fuel...

They could also stand to learn that a lot of work is required to get it to them.

How do we get electricity? Duh, I put a plug into the wall socket and it's there.

How do we get gas? Duh, I go to a pump at the gas station and it's there.

Some of them also think the supermarket has a room in back where meat is made so no animals are harmed.

“I don’t think her ironed-out, botoxed forehead does her any favors at all,”

It couldn't be that she happens to be healthy and has taken care of herself could it? Or maybe you need to have your eye glass prescription checked.
