My late father-in-law served with the 4th.Marine Div. Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. He was wounded on Iwo Jima but made the heck out of there.

SAC, as well..........KC-135 driver. Not glamorous, but pilots of bombers/trash haulers/fighters/recce/etc. loved us. :)
