My daughter is starting her second year of teaching English in Japan. One of the first trips to Tokyo that she took, she went to a “cat cafe”. She had a fun time. It is basically for people who do not have a pet, but would like to spend some time with a pet. So, the cat cafe.

Do you pay money to go in and pet the cats? Or is that just a (free) customer getter?

I think she may have had to pay to go into the cafe. I’m not entirely sure, it’s been about a year since she told us about it; but, I think there is a fee.
