WASHINGTON, May 29, 2012 — In one week, on Tuesday, June 5, Wisconsin voters go to the polls to decide if Republican Gov. Scott Walker will stay or be recalled. Once it looked like his goose was cooked.
Angered when Walker eliminated most collective-bargaining rights for public employees to balance Wisconsin’s budget, 100,000 protestors took to the street for weeks. The battle pitted neighbors and families against one another, making Wisconsin one of the most polarized states in the country, and finally culminated in the petition drive to dump the Governor.
500,000 signatures were required to force a recall election and the petitioners had nearly a million. Government employees, fire fighters, teachers, farmers, and union employees rejoiced. The recall election was theirs to win. Or so they thought.
But now a week out, the polls and money raised tell a different story. And if the Democratic Party doesn’t do something soon with a big infusion of money to get ads on television and to turn out the vote, Gov. Walker will be sitting pretty.

Sad that a man that is FIXING a BROKEN state needs help, but that is how far our country has fallen. In a SANE world Walker would win 97% of the vote.

From where I sit, it seems that Walker does what he says he will do, and gets the results he promises. That was why the Dems couldn’t beat Reagan, and that’s why they will probably not beat Walker.
I say “probably” because one can never discount voter fraud in Milwauki, where Dems rule. After all, it’s not who votes that makes the difference. It’s who counts the votes, and I seem to remember that Wisconsin’s attorney general is an Acornite.
Don’t count the chickens before they hatch. The Dems are throwing a lot of money and organization into the last few days. It might be a lot closer than we expect.
Once, and if, he wins big, it will be the start of taking the union members off the union crack pipe all around our country with possible spillovers into Europe when they finally implode.
I have had a feeling for some time now that he would win this bogus recall and when he does, the union thugs will be so in debt for this failed effort they will therefore be essentially castrated in a public policy sense.
They won’t go away but instead rightfully be viewed as the eunuchs they really are. With that said, they will be even more dangerous in a personal safety way. It is then they must be socially eliminated for as long as history will allow.

its amazing that the unions dumped 20 million dollars in dues of their members into this recall, sounds like they raided their members pension fund to do this... If I was a union member I would be more angry with my union wasting my money on politics, instead of funding my benefits and retirement, instead of being angry at Walker.”

And they will tell us that it’s what democracy looks like, which is wrong. It’s what anarchy looks like.
The second best thing about this whole Recall debacle, next to Scott Walker winning and demoralizing the Dems and the Unions is this: The Unions have blown their wad on this Recall Election. They have no money for the General Election to help Obama win Wisconsin. Romney could very well carry WI.
I’m lovin’ this.
It might be a lot closer than we expect.

Being “close” I can handle. As a matter of fact, losing a “close one” is always more painful than getting blown away. And, I’d love to see pain inflicted on the WI Dems and Union thugs.

Interesting how Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, who’s running against Walker, won’t even campaign on the issue of collective bargaining which is what caused the Liberal tantrum in the first place. He also won’t say how he would generate revenue if he rids Wisconsin of the benefits of Gov. Walker’s reforms. The only way, obviously, is huge tax hikes and Barrett doesn’t have the guts to state the obvious. Democrats, with this recall, have cost state taxpayers $16 million. Ridiculous!
Look guys this the dem and the left..they will lie steal and cheat...ballot boxes will be stuffed..
I’m envisioning this scenario: Walker wins big and shortly after the Supreme court strikes down the whole stinking Obamacare law. Now that would be fun, fun, fun to watch.
The real problem I see with a close election are the senate races. One of them is very close and losing one seat will flip the senate.
