I found him uninspiring. But then the only person who ever got me to my feet was President Reagan. The company I was employed by had some dealings with Senator McCain. I learned then that he put special interests and contributors that suited his own personal interest before good of the "whole" so to speak.
I don't believe McCain "did not want" the presidency. He came from a pedigree that would have one believe that was his "destiny." I believe his failure as a candidate was his own arrogance. And yes, his insecure self desire to be "liked" by the MSM and others. Thus he spoke more favorably about Obama than himself.
