Across the Washington area last week, young workers from Europe arrived in droves, heading for jobs at community swimming pools. Lugging duffel bags, they filled out forms, picked up safety gear and chatted in a variety of Slavic languages, eager to plunge into a summer experience of new friends, skills and culture.

The Obama administration is going to great lengths to make sure Scherbina and about 100,000 other foreign student workers are not disappointed. Last summer, the popular program, aimed at creating good will abroad, was rocked by scandal when students working at a candy warehouse in Pennsylvania staged a protest, complaining of isolation and overwork.

Good. American students overwhelmingly voted for this idiot. This is the Hope and Change he promised. THEY deserve it, WE don’t.

These are probably J-1 visas which are not new under Obama. J-1 visas go back to 1961 [The Fulbright-Hays Act of 1961 is officially known as the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961].
The J-1 visas is one of the myriad of employment based visas used by globalists to fill jobs Americans 'can't / won't' do. Many of these visas are embedded in 'free trade' agreements.
Meanwhile 6,366,000 who are not counted in the Civilian labor Force want jobs.

The state park near here is advertising job openings for the summer but there’s no budget for any hires. They’ve told the kids who have worked there in past summers to find something else this year.

Lots of foreigners working the canneries up here in Alaska. If you have kids who want to work hard for minimum wage, send them up.
My wife’s cousin came from Croatia 2 years in a row to clean houseboats on Lake Mead. He’s alright.

Your article How Record Immigration Levels.. is plenty disturbing.
Honestly, the level of financial and social violence that has been waged on the average American now for decades through permissive legal immigration, including these employment visa programs, along with illegal immigration, is staggering.
As smart as they were, I don't think Jefferson, Adams, Madison et al, could have conceived of the levels of treasonous corruption that we see about us now.

As smart as they were, I don't think Jefferson, Adams, Madison et al, could have conceived of the levels of treasonous corruption that we see about us now. It's true, we're being swarmed. I do believe they guessed something like this would happen. Sometimes I think their entire "American Experiment" was nothing other than a last-ditch gambit to buy time, not just for out country, but for the entire world. They invoked the highest principles and gave a call to arms against profound evil that snarled in rage, leaped at them, and has never let up in 230+ years.
I'ts, like, Biblical.
Like, the-end-of-the-book Biblical.

Agreed.
Although we were warned:
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
