I seem to think our citizens both American and Canadian of polish descent would not get worked up about it. Of course the press, or much of it, appears to be the arbiter of whether the general public get worked up. Remind me of kids at school, going to the teacher and saying " ooh, guess what Johnny said!". Johnny would get chastised according to the status of the tail bearer. I have a quotation, which I will concede may not be here or there.
