While not ideal, even the illiterate must be allowed to vote
in a free democracy.
That, however, is not the problem in America.
Criminal tugs now run the voting...people voting more then once, no voter ID, no poll control, illegals voting...the list goes on.

It should be simple, as it was when I last voted.
I walked into my polling place. Often I was known by the officials at the site. If not, my name was on their books, along with my voting records. While it never came up, I did have a voter registration card in case there was anything questionable.

I just can not see why anyone, other then a Commie democrap, could find anything wrong with this system.

Just as a side note:
In 1964, I had a summer job programing {mechanical) voting machines for the presidential election... Shelby County, TN.

I assume by "programming" you mean making sure all worked correctly and were reset to zero? Hopefully not predetermining the outcome!

Ah, my friend, but the Founders did not give us a ‘free democracy’...they gave us a Republic.
