I remember as a child, long before legalized abortion, being utterly shocked and horrified when I found out that my neighbor had given Dino, her dog, an abortion. How can any child not be utterly horrified to find out about human abortion? Many are brainwashed by their parents, but you have to think that first reaction must be horror.
