Here's my viewpoint: In the United States, people have the right to hold and communicate whatever opinions they want, without having to be in fear of being violently attacked because violent people are offended.

This means that if somebody wants to say bad things about Mohammed, rant about "crackers keeping us down", or declare their dislike for black people, then that is protected speech, and they should enjoy the full protection of the law against any who would assault them over it.

And yet everyone enjoys that full protection, except whites it seems. So far down the road from slavery and Jim Crow, apologizing and granting special rights and what do whites reap as a reward: a curb on their free speech rights and in turn vulnerability to attack.

I don't like it. No other country has ever integrated so many cultures and races so well and extended the protection of its laws so equally, more than equally.
