Why is this so difficult for Hawaii? The answer is obvious.
“verification in lieu of a certified copy” doesn’t cut it.
Bennett needs to do his job.
Ariz .Rev. Stat. 16-501, “...no person shall have his name printed on the official ballot as a candidate in a general election unless he has complied fully with the provisions of law applicable to primary elections.”
State of Arizona Presidential Preference Election Candidate Nomination Paper, which says:
“I am a natural born citizen of the United States... I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that all the information in this Nomination Paper is true, that as to these and all other qualifications, I am qualified to hold the office that I seek, having fulfilled the United States constitutional requirements for holding said office.”
Without a certified copy how can Bennett verify the candidate’s identity, citizenship, and eligibility, as entered on the Nomination Paper?
“Verification” is a joke. Bennett would have to provide information and get a yeah or nay.
Hawaii provides requested info or Obama is off the ballot.
Bennett needs to do his job or be removed from office for nonfeasance.
