Not only does Seattle have an 'avoid' MLK Blvd., but here is the logo of King County government that was revised in the recent past:
This was likely done when Ron Sims was county executive. His county bio praises his efforts on global warming, social justice, etc., etc. - all the Lefty talking points. He ordered employees while at work not to utter, 'Merry Christmas of 'Happy Hanukkah.' Unknown if Happy Kwanzaa was allowed.
He went on to be Deputy Secretary with HUD when Obammi came in. I believe he is stepping down under a cloud of abuse of travel funds.
King County is where after a several recounts for state guv, they magically found some 'missing ballots' that just happened to put a (D) in that office.
Never figured out why they didn't name their Kingdome sports stadium the Martin Luther Kingdome, or rename the county Martin Luther King County. /sarc
Portland, OR is just as bad. They have a MLK, and others for Rosa Parks and Ceaser Chavez.
