Just did a very quick internet search on “how many people supported the American Revolution”.
The majority were “neutral”, about 10-15% loyal to GB.
Only 30-35% were on board with the concept, out of those only about a third did anything about it.
Not so much different than today.
Great reminder there. And isn’t it the truth. I have heard similarly of that before, but what an important reminder of what resistance really looks like. “It ain’t beanbag”, as they say.
