Homosexuality, along with all other sexual sins, are nearly unique in being specifically condemened by the New Testament as well as the Old. The first council of Jerusalem, asked to advise the first Greek (i.e. non-Jewish) converts) on Christian conduct, only constrained them to: 1. avoid dietary habits that were repellent to Jewish believers and 2. abstain from all sexual immorality. The Church correctly identified sexual sin as the most serious problem facing average believers in modern society.

I do have a question about number 1. Thank-you for your response. Did not the apostle Peter have a dream about a group of animals coming from a cloth with the command to “take, kill, eat?”
Did that mean to say that the Christian community not to take on the Jewish dietary laws as part of their observance?
