You are wrong! Perry entered the race on Aug 13......Palins speech in crony capitalism was on Sept 3 which she was advertising for well over a month and the kind of person she was talking about its not enought to just replacing Obama with “just changing up the uniform” fitted Romney not Perry. In fact right after the speech a reporter ask her if she was talking about Perry and she said that she wish all candidates would reject crony capitalism but many said that she was pointing to the establishment and Romney at that time.
I hate it when misinformation is being spread around especially from conservatives
Perry may have officially entered the race Aug 13 but I clearly remember he was big in the news the day before her speech. Maybe his highest-ever poll number to date came out.
I watched her on Fox news and she was purposely and obviously unclear about who she was talking about regarding crony capitalism. She may have “clarified” later, but that was after her initial clear condemnation of everyone, with the timing pointing dead-center at Perry.
That time was a golden opportunity for her to endorse (or at least say something strongly positive about) Perry and she clearly and obviously did not. Which is her right. I’m not saying she owed Perry anything. But please don’t change history. She most definitely did nothing to help Perry and at least allowed the impression to be out there that she was dumping on Perry.
Certainly that’s the way it was perceived here in FR, especially by the Perry bashers. But even by the Perry boosters (like myself). I was glum over her “crony capitalism” and her implication that Perry was her target, and I was not alone, and she did NOTHING to set the record straight.
Palin has done great things. 2010 was a great year for her.
But she sucked eggs in 2011. Sorry, she’s not the female Jesus.
