With the film franchise going strong, I cannot imagine how it could be Buttman..er..Batman. Likewise, I think there are plans for a new Superman film franchise as well. DC would be cutting their throats if it's Batman or Superman.

They are probably trying to keep up with Marvel. Marvel already made one of my old western heroes, the Rawhide Kid turn gay. And Marvel also has Northstar-an openly gay superhero that will celebrate a gay marriage this year.
