Awww. They’re so cute! I don’t recall having seen that species before, but they’re darling.

Hubby and I used to do a lot of bird watching in our back yard in California. We have several “identify that bird” books, and we had seen a lot of them by the time we moved away.

We were in a migratory path and close to a sanctuary, so we saw a heck of a lot of different birds. They were also attracted to our backyard fish pond, well stocked with goldfish, LOL!

One day a snowy egret landed on the railing outside our bedroom sliding-glass door. I just happened to be walking in there at the time, and I swear that my cat, Muffin, turned into pancake syrup and oozed himself down the side and then under the bed when that enormous creature turned an eye on him, LOL!

Birds and animals! Ya gotta love ‘em.

;o)
Those are Zebra Finches..Aftican birds IIRC

I have lived in California..My neighbor had Blue Herons wipe out their fishpond..We lived 10 minutes drom Goleta Beach where they nested.
The largest visiting “bird” my kitties have encountered is a wild turkey ..He would peer in the glass door looking for handouts..My kitties were fascinated. He just disappeared one day..
