Fear is the main reason for staying in mormonism, ignorance by members of church history is second, a feeling of superiority for belonging to the "one true church" is third.
The fear is instilled in children at a very young age...fear of losing one's "eternal family", as they grow older the brainwashing continues with fear of being kept out of the "place where God and Jesus reside" and the very real fear of shunning by their mormon friends and family.
Fear, ignorance and the feeling of being "speshul" along with in many cases, being born into or converting into the sect in an area that is heavily mormon like Utah and several other enclaves.
This is similar to the New Age Spirituality, The Emergent Church, Scientology, and Islamic forms of indoctrination.
These Cultish practices and Indoctrinations are used by it's leadership, and desired for a membership which is devoid of critical thinking with a strong focus on feelings from fear, to false guilt and creates an emotional slide from one to the other...which of course is the enemy of mens souls objective to keep them in bondage and the stronghold they are in....without any true peace from God...rather instills a false peace on the few occassions they might find it.
Thank you for posting those links....they certainly reveal what ‘happens’ to a Mormon thru those indoctrinations...and is typical of cults and occult practices.
