Great post!....would be a good assignment for students to describe what they think is happening in the painting...but before that, let’s ask the “teachers”!
When I realized I was a Conservative and living in DU Country- New England that is-AND in an Irish Catholic Democrat Camelot family, I learned to keep my thoughts to myself.
Most of the time that is. So I really applaud that child standing up to that teacher; I still feel intimidated sometimes by Libs&Progs-NOT because I disagree with them, but, like this “teacher”, they are just darn crazy!
Once you disagree with them about whatever their pet issue is-Obama The One, ProChoice,”The Gays”- whatever,they start winding up and after about 3 minutes they look rabid, veins bulging,their faces get all distorted and twisted and then- they start screaming at you, calling you names, threatening you etc. They are NUTS!! You canNOT have a conversation/exchange of ideas AT ALL. Nada. Once they find out who you are, like the Pod People, all you get is screaming-and there is no turning back...
I’m an adult and they scare me...so bravo...I hope his dad does call Rush; I would love to hear his son tell the story!
I don't have kids yet, and I wonder if any FReinds with children know whether the horrors of the Soviet years are even taught in our public schools?
